VGC is one of the qualified pre-approved vendors for PSG remote working collaboration tool – MS M365 bundled with Dell 3410 Laptop since 20 Aug 2020. During the difficult time in COVID 19, our government continues to strengthen our local SMEs in their business capabilities and capture global market opportunities.

The PSG supports companies keen on adopting IT devices and solutions to enhance business processes. With up to 80% funding support, PSG serves as an avenue for companies to make long-term technology investments.

This PSG has helped many SMEs locally to effectively digitalized and transformed their work nature. It helped employees to work with flexibility from home, without compromising the business productivity. Please note that this PSG (Collaboration tool – MS M365 bundled with Laptop) exercise has since ceased approval offering from 31 Dec 2020.

Upskill Employees to Leverage on Digital Technology

Many companies are navigating changing to digital technology and enhancing new skills for their employees even before the COVID-19 pandemic. To prepare companies for future disruptions, the necessity for employees to develop new digital skill is important.

There was a fast adoption of home working technologies such as Microsoft Teams has more than tripled the number of daily active users since late 2019. Working from home to be specific, is the only alternative mode of work for employees with or without prior IT knowledge, readiness, or willingness.

The current COVID-19 restrictions have accelerated demand for Microsoft Teams that enable companies to provide a safe working environment for employees, so they can still work from home. This will be the new post-pandemic workplace arrangement in our economic development.
